Mitchell Rasmussen, DC, CFMP, FRCms

Director of Functional Medicine

As a Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner, Dr. Rasmussen has completed a post-Doctoral education in Functional Medicine which he leans on to guide our functional medicine clinic decision making when working with complex chronic illness. Dr. Rasmussen will oversee and direct ALL laboratory testing, nutritional therapy prescription, supplemental therapy recommendations, and movement based rehabilitation protocols.

Mitchell found Chiropractic after exploring all sorts of movement and physical modalities. He has always been a competitive athlete and had his share of heartbreak through injury. Mitchell played football at the University of Minnesota-Duluth, where he ultimately left the sport due to multiple surgeries. His background as an athlete and as a patient drive his passion for helping young students realize hope for long-term success in their sports. This starts with foundational movement.

After graduating from Northwestern Health Sciences University, Dr. Rasmussen spent several years honing his craft as a movement-based chiropractor, eschewing the typical “crack-and-pop” treatment. He also developed an interest in Functional Medicine after attending a series of life-changing seminars. This led him to pursue his post-Doctoral education. He has since treated a number of complex cases including heavy-metal toxicity, autoimmune dysfunction, and mold-driven illness.
Outside of the clinic, Mitchell enjoys reading non-fiction while relaxing in his hammock, cooking a hearty cast-iron meal, or sampling local coffee roasters. He is a comedy-fiend and gets his sports fix with MMA.
