Kristen Milliron is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed in Colorado and California. Kristen has over 12 years experience working with individuals and helping them identify the areas that they want to address. She assists patients in learning healthy ways to cope with their thoughts, feelings and behaviors, empowering them to make positive changes in their lives.
Kristen’s therapy is focused on helping patients achieve their goals. She gets feedback after each session so that sessions are tailored to the patients needs. She believes that the therapeutic process must be individualized for each person and that the process of healing and growth is collaborative between therapist and patient.
Kristen’s role as therapist is to provide a place to understand a person’s particular circumstances and to offer empathy, insight, and useful tools. Her therapeutic approach is compassionate, respectful and professional, using a combination of cognitive-behavioral therapy and solution-focused work.
Kristen grew up in Northern California and moved to Georgia after graduating from California State University Chico with her Bachelors degree in Psychology. Kristen received her Masters degree in Social Work at Georgia State University in 2008. She has spent the last 13 years working in various roles in the mental health field in Georgia, California and Colorado.
